FILING OF A MARK

1. Dated and signed Power for each Mark (French/English) ; Download

2. Name, address and nationality of the applicant ;

3. Ten (10) mark labels (max 8cm x 8cm) ;

4. List of goods and services ;

5. Number and date of priority, as well as country of origin (if claimed) ;

6. Official copy of the priority document (if claimed).

Notes :

* The priority document can be provided after the filing within a period of 3 months starting from the mark filing date (this period can t be extended).

* The power can be provided within a period of 2 months starting from the mark filing date (this period can be extended by 2 more months upon request). It is extended to all the acts upon receipt of all notifications, except for the cancellation or retraction of the mark.

* The power must include the name and quality of the signatory.

* The legalisation of the signature is not required.

RENEWAL OF A MARK

1. Power signed for each mark (French/English) ; Download

2. Name, address and nationality of the applicant ;

3. Ten (10) mark labels (max 8cm x 8cm) ;

4. Number and date of the registered mark to be renewed ;

5. Proof of use (AFFIDAVIT). Download

Notes :

* The power can be provided within a period of 2 months starting from the mark filing date (this period can be extended by 2 more months upon request).

* The power must include the name and quality of the signatory.

* The legalisation of the signature is not required.

* As of 1st January 2006, the renewal application must be accompanied by correct means to establish, or to make plausible, that there has been use of the mark, during the year prior to the expiry of the registration.

This document can be provided within a period of 2 months starting from the renewal application filing date (this period can be extended by 2 more months upon request) ;

* The proof of use can include invoices, freight bills, or a simple use declaration (AFFIDAVIT) signed by the applicant.

ASSIGNMENT OF A MARK

1. Deed of assignment signed by the assignor and the assignee and legalised before the Algerian embassy ; Download

2. Power signed by the assignee mentioning the signatory's name and quality ; Download

3. Name, address and nationality of the assignor and the assignee ;

4. Filing or registering number and date of the assigned marks registration.

Notes :

* A French translation must be attached to the grant of licence contract if it is in a different language (except for Arabic).

GRANT OF LICENCE FOR A MARK

1. Grant of licence contract signed by the licencee and the licensor and legalised before the Algerian embassy; Download

2. Power signed by the licensor mentionning the signatory's name and quality ; Download

3. Name, address and nationality of the licensor and licencee ;

4. Number and date of the grated mark's registration.

Notes :

* A French translation must be attached to the grant of licence contract if it is in a different language (except for Arabic).

FULL OR PARTIAL RETRACTION

1. Power signed by the applicant mentioning the signatory's name and quality ; Download

2. Number and date of the mark registration or filing ;

3. List of goods to suppress in the case of a partial retraction.
